Yes, i will assist you in moving most standard furniture.  This will typically include standard sofas, chairs, end tables, empty bookcases, curio cabinets, dressers, beds, nightstands and desks.  In most cases i move these items from side to side within the work area.  You would be responsible for moving as much as you can so i can, especially personal items, electronics, items from the tops of things that will be moved, clearing closet floors & under beds, and generally preparing the areas as much as possible so i can concentrate most of my effort on repairing your carpet.

While every effort will be made to reduce the visibility of the repair, many factors can affect the outcome.  For example, the age of the carpet, how long the repair has been left unaddressed, the condition of any extra carpet that is utilized, and how well the existing carpet has been maintained, can all factor into the outcome of your project.  I have made an effort to share pictures of my work that illustrates all outcomes. 

i recommend having your carpet cleaned after the repairs are performed. If you just had your carpet cleaned, it should not impact my ability to repair your carpet, however certain repairs, especially carpet stretching, may have discoloration, or distortion in the yarn where the wrinkles exist even after the stretching is completed, which can be improved by carpet cleaning. 

I can take carpet from an inconspicuous area to utilize for the repair and then provide a new piece of carpet to replace the area that was taken from.  Although i cannot ensure the piece i provide will be an exact match, an effort will be made to offer a piece that compliments the existing carpet.
